The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our market leading client based in the Doncaster area. We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Hiab Driver (with working away) to join the team on a temp to perm basis.

Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends. 7am starts until approximately 6pm with nights out in a paid hotel (shared room) and occasional night work as required. Driver have the option to sleep in the cab if preferred for an additional allowance.

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour PAYE, £42 night out allowance per night if in the paid hotel, £67 night out allowance if tramping. All shifts are guaranteed at 10 hours.

Location: Doncaster, DN12.

Job Type : Temporary to permanent.

The Role

• This role involves primarily working on motorways, with 90% of the work dedicated to this task.
• Be responsible for picking up loads from the plant and delivering them to the designated sites promptly and efficiently.
• Transporting materials and equipment for central reservation repairs to designated sites, predominantly on motorways.
• Operating the Hiab crane efficiently and safely.
• Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
• Occasionally working night shifts as required by project demands.
• Ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C) essential, but Class 1 licence (category C+E) is preferred.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Have a minimum of 2 years proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Have a full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Proven experience as a Hiab Driver, preferably with motorway repair experience.
• Valid Hiab license, with ALLMI or NPORS accreditations only.
• Ability to work away from home, staying in paid hotel accommodation (shared room) or tramping and being accustomed to nights out in the cab.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
