This is position is a fixed term to cover maternity leave.

The role is hybrid with two days in the Kettering, UK office and three working from home.

We’re looking for a talented wordsmith with a passion for travel. Someone with the ability to convey their love into inspirational words and content to inspire our members to experience for themselves.

You don’t have to be exceptionally well-travelled – most of our resorts are firmly on the beaten track in popular tourist destinations. But you do need to be able to motivate our audience to trigger a memory; to salivate over local dishes; to smile; to miss feeling warm sand between their toes – to, ultimately, click the ‘confirm’ button for their holiday purchase.

We are looking for someone who can write to a formulae of brand guidelines, but inject your own creativity to make that copy sparkle.

This is an exciting, varied role within a fun, but fast-paced, business and industry. We offer different travel products to different markets so you’ll need to be able to keep on top of attention to detail.

We have big plans to grow our membership figures so you’ll be equally happy to write engaging copy to convince prospective members that we have what they want.

Alongside copywriting, you’ll support the e-commerce and marketing teams will the production of email campaigns for some of our smaller brands.

We’re a global team and you’ll find yourself working alongside friends across Europe, Asia, India, South Africa, Mexico and the United States.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• To support the activation of members and drive revenue-generation by creating inspirational, motivational travel-related content.
• To write engaging copy which both utilises your creative writing skills and maximises brand guidelines;
• To liaise with the marketing team to ensure omni-channel approaches for copy;
• To brief the visual communications team for supporting / associated imagery and icon requests;
• To support the production of campaigns for our B2C brands, including copywriting, image sourcing and resizing and proof sign-off, audience file selection, email deployment and reporting, if required;
• To liaise with the revenue merchandising team for details of promotional offers to communicate online;
• To operate within translation budget parameters;
• To work with the cross-regional marketing teams from other global regions as and when required;
• Actively participate in ad hoc projects as and when required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in in a copywriting / marketing role;
• Experience of writing and creating content within brand guidelines;
• Experience and understanding of creating SEO-optimised copy to maximise the reach of online media;
• Proven time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
• Grammatical perfection and exceptional attention to detail;
• A passion for inspiring others to experience travel and the ability to convey this in copy;
• Commercial awareness and decision velocity.

Desirable:

• Experience working within the travel industry or a subscription-based membership environment;
• An appreciation and understanding of international cultural differences and the complexities of writing English base copy for translation into different languages;
• Awareness of the importance of positive online user experience;

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential :   A degree in English literature or English language, journalism or creative writing, or Marketing with an emphasis on copywriting, or equivalent work-based experience in a similar content production-focused role.

Desirable: Educated to degree level and/or formal marketing or copywriting qualification. Marketing role experience, minimum 2 years.
