Job Description
Due to continued growth our Sheffield site are now recruiting for an Assistant Stock Manager on a full time permanent basis.
As an Assistant Stock Manager you will manage and motivate a team of Stock and Goods-in Administrators to meet customer expectations and exceed departmental KPIs.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
Salary: £37,500 per annum.
Responsibilities of an Assistant Stock Manager include:
- Managing a team of Stock and Goods-In Administrators.
- Providing a high quality customer service to all internal and external customers as well as outside hauliers by ensuring all inbound schedules are maintained.
- Dealing with customer queries and claims in a timely and proactive manner, recording and investigating all customer non-conformances.
- Planning, organising and conducting cyclic and annual stock counts making sure stock integrity is maintained, counts are reconciled and physical and systemic stock holdings match each period.
- Deputising for Stock & Systems Manager at monthly client reviews.
- Manage outside storage control.
- Producing accurate and timely departmental Key Performance Indicators.
- Examining internal and external procedures to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensuring ISO Quality standards are complied with.
- Ensuring all Company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Ability to work using own initiative.
- A good communicator who adapts to and promotes change.
- Ability to delegate, coach and performance manage staff.
- Ability to work in a high speed, pressurised environment.
- Experience of process and data analysis and problem solving.
- Ability to resolve issues effectively and implement sustainable solutions.
- Computer literate.
