Based in the West of Glasgow, our client is a global leader in developing advanced laser systems. Their products are deployed in a wide variety of markets including renewable energy, microelectronics, fundamental research, life sciences and medicine.

What will you be doing?
As their Manufacturing Engineer, you'll use your manufacturing expertise to support the manufacturing process, from the kitting of parts to packing and shipping the final product.
It's your job to keep things running smoothly, supported by a fantastic team of experienced engineers.
Here's a summary of a standard week:
Optimise production processes
Drive ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Enhance production quality
Monitor product quality, identify defects, and implement corrective actions to ensure consistently high standards.
Streamline production workflow
Design and implement jigs, tooling, and fixtures to streamline production processes and reduce cycle times.
Train and empower production staff
Provide comprehensive training to production staff on new processes, tools, and product variants to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Contribute to lean manufacturing practices
Promote lean manufacturing principles and implement 5S initiatives to optimise resource utilisation and improve workplace organisation.
