Hours: Full-Time (37 hours per week)
Salary: £27,531 - £31,171 per annum

SAC Consulting is one of the leading agricultural consultancies in Scotland, uniquely placed to support the sustainable growth and prosperity of agriculture and land-based businesses; working across food supply chains as they rise to the challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss and food security.

The main purpose of this role is to provide expert technical and business consultancy services to customers throughout the region.

In this role you will:
• Support the provision of technical and financial consultancy services to farmers and managers and other local rural business
• Promote, market and sell SAC services which will be serviced by the consultant, other local staff and specialist colleagues
• Maintain effective local liaison with staff of other organisation with rural interests, including banks, commercial companies, Local Enterprise companies, NatureScot and NFUS
• Identify business opportunities for SAC services for non-farming clients in the rural community and to promote, provide and sell such services appropriately
This role is suited to individuals with experience of working in the agricultural sector with knowledge and skills in arable cropping and livestock systems.

Experience of the challenges faced by small to medium sized agricultural businesses will be an advantage.

The role will require flexible working hours and regular travel to accommodate customer needs. You should also be able to harness your knowledge and experience for the benefit of both your customer and your colleagues. For the candidate, with the right skills, there are always opportunities to quickly progress to other roles within the company.

The ideal candidate should be educated to SCQF Level 8 and above.
