Role: Quality and Risk Officer
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum (DOE)
Location: Kings Hill, Kent (Hybrid working)
The Role Are you a quality and risk professional, with strong communication skills and proven risk and quality management experience? Are you able to interpret data to monitor varying requirements? If so, HR Connect, part of Commercial Services Group, may have an exciting new opportunity for you.
In the new role of Quality and Risk Officer, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality of services provided by HR Connect. You will deliver functional and process analysis, challenge and provide advice to ensure our service delivery is underpinned by sound risk and quality management, in line with the wider Group’s framework, policies and procedures.
This role will also act as the divisional Business Continuity Coordinator, ISO champion and Risk Lead and actively participate in Group-wide networks.
The successful candidate will be working from our Kings Hill based office at least once per month and will attend quarterly business continuity meetings, please consider this before making your application.

What we need from you
- Experience of quality and risk management including the design of effective controls
- Experience managing change in a HR environment
- Good experience of data interpretation and manipulation to meet specific monitoring requirements
- Attention to detail with the ability to constructively challenge established ways of working
- Excellent understanding of HR Connect services, customers and standards
Key Duties:
- Perform on-going reviews of HR Connects processes and procedures ensuring a timely, effective and robust service. Review the effectiveness of quality, environmental and security management arrangements, highlighting issues, initiating improvements and advising service managers on the design of effective controls
- Work with service managers to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and relevant quality standards, including but not limited to ISO9001, ISO14001 and IS27001
- Work together with service managers to adapt to corporate, customer, and statutory requirements. Evaluate the effects of changes on HR Connect operations, examine significant procedures, pinpoint areas for improvement, and make sure the right kind of training and direction is provided
- Under the supervision of the Associate Director – HR Advisory & Strategy, coordinate the risk management across HR Connect, maintaining the HR Connect risk register and supporting managers in the identification, assessment, escalation and mitigation of risk. Provide advice, training and tools to support this
- Ensure that quality objectives laid down in the Service Level Agreements are met and highlight training needs at a service level and liaise with relevant operational managers to ensure effective training and workforce development and planning are in place
