Job description
There is an immediate opportunity for a Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent accountant with experience of process review and documentation to join our client in Sheffield to deliver a 6 month interim project. This is a key project to deliver improvements across financial processes throughout the business. The role's main purpose is to evaluate the current system and processes, suggest improvements, and to produce a suite of process documents that deliver efficiency and appropriate controls.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Review of current financial process to ensure they have been documented accurately and clearly identify where processes are linked.
* Review all financial process to identify control weaknesses and/or improvements.
* Following the completion of the review of each process complete a process log including summary of findings, improvement recommendations and risk mitigation.
* Accurately and appropriately document all financial processes including an index of processes including review schedule/project plan.
* Work with the finance and operations teams to create any missing processes including workflows and more detailed processes.
* Lead coordination and management of process meetings.
* Report weekly progress to the Commercial Financial Controller including progress against project plan, findings and control and efficiency improvements.
* Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.
