Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker (Senior Mentor)
Location: Rural Bexhill
Hourly Rate: £14 - £15 per hour, £34944 - £37440 a year salary (48 hours per week)
Job Description: Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with challenging behavior? Our client is a leading provider of residential care for young individuals, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker (Senior Mentor) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Foster a positive, nurturing environment for young residents.
Build positive relationships and set an example.
Act as Key Worker for specific residents.
Maintain open communication to address issues.
Engage in professional development for skill enhancement.
Document and track progress of young people under care.
Use resources efficiently to meet residents' needs.
Maintain accurate casework records.
Provide transportation for residents.
Be available for sleeping-in shifts.
SAFEGUARDING: Subject to Enhanced Disclosure check.
Person Specification for Senior Residential Support Worker:
Essential Desirable
ExperienceAt least two years’ experience in residential setting
Education/Qualifications/TrainingGCSE English
Specialist training in related area
Recognised social work qualification
Special KnowledgeAbility to organise and lead recreational activities
Skills/DispositionAbility to provide counseling to individual young people
Sense of humor
High level of resilience
Flexibility and adaptability
Work Arrangements and AvailabilityClean UK driving license, flexibility with working hours, availability for sleep-in duties if required, emotionally resilient, good level of physical fitness (particularly with regard to Restrictive Physical Interventions)
