The company are an established and respected main contractor who work on a variety of projects in the commercial, industrial, residential and high end leisure sectors with projects ranging in value from £20m - £100m.

The role - Senior Quantity Surveyor As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be based out of the office in Warrington and will be reporting into the Commercial Manager overseeing the project and be responsible for all commercial duties and be the point of contact for junior staff.
The initial project is a £50m student accommodation block in the centre of Manchester and you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and refurbishment of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties.
- Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.
- Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement.
- Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.
- Preparation of internal cost reporting measures.
- Advice when required on cost management, or value management.
- Maintaining quality control procedures.
- Health & Safety management.
- Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management.
- Ensure cash flow is maximized.
Required skills and knowledge
- At least 5 year's experience in a Project/Senior position.
- Have a strong Main Contractor background.
