We are looking for a Head Vet to join the team at Crooks & Partners based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Would you like to join a close-knit mixed team of young and experienced vets, who are keen to inspire, motivate and challenge you on the way to the next step of your career? This role will involve overseeing the clinical running of the practice on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate will be an experienced clinician and will be able to support junior members of the team. This role will work closely with the Senior Practice Director in achieving a high level of clinical care and client experience.
We are a busy single site, forward thinking and multi-vet small animal practice in South Yorkshire. From rugged and breathtaking countryside to vibrant cities, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. For anyone with an outdoor passion, the practice team also has a healthy concentration of rock climbers enjoying full use of one of the largest indoor and outdoor rock-climbing areas in the country. We have a wide and varied caseload with a generous rota to ensure a good work/life balance. You will be allocated generous operating time and extra administration time to allow you the clinical autonomy to follow up cases.
This position will offer:
- 4 day working week, working 1 in 6 Saturday mornings only
- No OOHs
- 15-minute consults as standard, which can be extended for more complex cases
- Certificate/further career and skill development encouraged, certificate funding available, supported by visiting certificate holders or option to visit other advanced CVS practices
- Team orientated environment with regular meetings to provide clinical support, discuss cases and clinical governance
- Access to modern equipment, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, in house blood machines and soon to include dental radiography
Along with an
excellent salary package of up to £70,000 per annum , dependent on experience, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
- Standard 5 weeks annual leave plus Bank Holidays, with the option to purchase an additional 2 weeks per year

- Paid professional fees (RCVS & VDS)

- 5 days CPD and £1000 CPD budget a year - the practice can approve to exceed for well-motivated reasons
