Job description

What you will do in your working day

To undertake painting and decorating in Ongo properties, in some or all rooms, depending on the decisions made by the Improving Lives Coordinator. Properties may be empty, however in some cases you will work with the tenant in their property and support the painter and decorator to teach them painting skills.

To use modern systems, technology and devices to keep accurate data of work undertaken, materials used and time allocation.

To ensure the safe handling and storage of all plant and equipment, including regular checks for road worthiness on vehicles for which you are responsible.

To undertake all work in accordance with Health and Safety policy statements and safe working practices

The training you will be getting

• Level 2 Painting and Decorating qualification
• Functional Skills in English and maths if required
