Job Description
As a Senior Building Surveyor with Project Management responsibilities, you will have a pivotal role in managing a team of 3 / 4 surveyors. You will be overseeing overseeing building surveying operations and leading project management activities. You will be responsible for managing complex projects, providing expert advice, conducting building surveys, and ensuring the successful completion of projects within defined timeframes and budgets. Your experience in both building surveying and project management will be essential in delivering high-quality services to clients.
- Lead and manage building surveying activities and project management tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team leader for circa 4 Surveyors
- Conduct thorough building surveys, including condition assessments, defect investigations, and feasibility studies.
- Designing extensions and new build properties
- Provide expert advice and solutions on building defects, maintenance, and compliance with building regulations.
- Develop and implement project management plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and risk assessment.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to establish project requirements and maintain effective communication throughout the project.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, specifications, and contracts.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring efficient collaboration and resource allocation.
- Stay updated with industry regulations, best practices, and technological advancements in building surveying and project management
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in building surveying, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in building surveying and project management, within the construction industry.
- Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and surveying techniques.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
- Excellent understanding of contract administration, cost control, and risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to manage and motivate project teams.
