Job description
Consilium are proudly supporting a leading Aerospace organisation at the forefront of supply chain optimisation providing a one-stop shop range of products, services and high-performance engineered solutions.
We are seeking a Sales Executive to join the team on a permanent basis with the option of operating from their London or Derby office.
The Role
The Sales Executive will be managing multiple customers with the aim of selling distribution material, performing the RFQ follow up through the consultation of KPI’s, in line with the objectives assigned by the Sales & Customer Service.
Responsibilities include:
Manage requests for quotations (RFQ) by analysing requirements and verifying the availability of stock, the existence of potential purchasing contracts and previous requests sent to suppliers for the purchase of a specific item.
Prepare the offer to the customer based upon the best supply source, which is determined by the Procurement department on the basis of certifications, price per unit and lead time.
Perform RFQ’s follow-up activities that are necessary to ensure and maintain relations with customers, such as dealing with emails, making calls, video conferences, and visits.
Support Senior Sales Executives, Account Managers and Sales & Customer Service Manager during customers visits.
Monitor and manage, on a daily basis, the assigned targets/KPIs (Sales, Margin, Bookings, OTIF %, Order Book, etc.) through the BI tool (i.e. Qlik) and put corrective actions in place – if required – to make sure the profitability of the BU is achieved.
To undertake, as directed, any other duties as may be commensurate with the overall efficient running of the Company.
The Person
The Sales Executive will possess strong communication and customer facing skills whereby you shall undertake numerous client support activities to include site visits. You will be a proactive, team orientated individual who is able to work efficiently and effectively within an established sales department but also can work unsupervised and maintain a positive and driven attitude.
A high attention to detail is required to support the RFQ process to include preparation of the offer to customers and the accurate updating of SAP.
Experience Required for the Sales Executive
Educated to GCSE level to include Maths and English or equivalent.
Previous experience operating in a sale function.
Target monitoring through BI tools
Good IT skills to include MS Office suite with an emphasis on Excel.
Able to use business intelligence tools such as Qlik.
Utilised SAP or similar software.
Excellent communication skills.
