Job description
Team Manager required on a MASH (Duty & Advice team) Service in Oldham Council.
This is a critical Team Manager role that helps Oldham Council fulfil their statutory duties for children and young people.
This post provides capacity to ensure that social workers are affording children and families with a good quality service, which is about essential services to the most vulnerable children in society.
You will work as part of a multi-agency team and complete triage activity, within specified timescales, seeking and sharing information with partners in line with GDPR, speaking with parents, carers, and children to gain details and enable strong evidenced based decision making in line with our practice standards and statutory duties.
You will identify and respond appropriately to any safeguard concerns that are identified, ensuring the immediate decision making reflects an analysis of risk and protective factors. You must have the ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring practice is child focused.
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 2 years' experience as a Team Manager within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
