Our client, a leading financial services firm has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and managing multiple projects from start to finish. You will be comfortable leading projects and work with stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered within their intended outcomes.

Essential Skills/Experience:

Extensive experience working within Project Management within Financial Services ideally working on projects within Sales and/or Marketing

Prince 2 or another recognised professional Change Delivery qualification desirable.

Experience and understanding of Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies

Previous experience of working with outsourced service providers

Excellent influencing & negotiation skills

Extensive project planning experience

Strong resource, change and budget management experience.

Proven ability to influence and motivate others

Core Responsibilities:

Delivery of complex projects and portfolios of change

Stakeholder management - influencing stakeholders across the business at all levels

Managing of third parties to ensure delivery to their commitments for the business

Team Management - undertaking 21s for any staff assigned

Project governance - reporting and tracking.

Reviewing and monitoring progress against project plans to ensure outputs are delivered to time, budget and quality specifications.

Managing risks, issues, and resources to ensure milestone dates are achieved.

Managing projects within the agreed budget, applying the defined change management processes when required. Estimating project costs as required

Reporting project progress in line with stated policies and procedures

Responsibility for the day-to-day task management of Business and Operational Analysts assigned to projects.
