Job description
We are looking for a Media & Campaign Planning Manager to join the Media Team within Marketing Communications. You will work at the very centre of the marketing team, connecting with channel experts (e.g. our performance marketing team), data partners (e.g. Tesco Media and Insight Platform), and our media agency to deliver insight-lead media plans. You will need to have a flair for media planning, be able to lead multiple large media projects at once with confidence, be an advanced digital marketer (with channel expertise, understanding of attribution/tracking, etc.), and be passionate about keeping up-to-date with the ever-changing media landscape.
You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the media strategy/planning/buying of comms for Marketplace, one of our key Online priorities for this year.
- Managing our always-on performance buys with our performance marketing team, ensuring KPIs (CPA, awareness, etc.) are being measured effectively, and its performance is optimised.
- Ensuring big-awareness campaign bursts are planned and executed using
- Working closely with the Online Campaign team, to ensure that creative development is informed by the media plan and fit for platform.
- Briefing and managing our 'Tesco Channel' teams, from In-Store to Content to translate a campaign through-the-line. This includes Tesco Mag, Email, Social/PR, performance, etc.
- Managing total media budget across brand media campaigns, performance campaigns, and other 'Tesco Channel' spend.
- Leading general bigger-campaign management, including in-campaign optimisation meetings, PCAs, wider internal insight asks, etc.
- Ensuring the tracking/tagging/measurement of your campaigns is robust and fit-for-purpose (whether it be digital attribution or econometric modelling).
- Presenting strategy and media planning with confidence to key stakeholders across different areas of the business.
- Working closely with the Online Proposition team to ensure that plans are aligned with wider business targets.
- Supporting on wider Tesco media priorities, i.e. responsible advertising, measurement, AV planning, etc.
- Developing relationships and working closely with key agencies (media, OOH, creative, insight, search, etc.).
- Keeping up-to-date with the media landscape and meeting key media owners.
You will need:
- Strong understanding of digital advertising, from channel expertise to understanding of attribution/tracking.
- Experience with working with a variety of offline channels
- Background in managing large-scale media projects
- Experience with stakeholder management
- Proven track record of working collaboratively towards a shared goal
- Background in working with analytical/data-led insight
