The opportunity
Castle EAST School are seeking to appoint a Lead Teacher of Maths who will work across the school in all key stages to be part of our special school for pupils with Communication and Interaction (C&I) needs. This is a unique and extremely exciting opportunity to play a role in creating a truly outstanding provision where pupils with specific needs genuinely excel. As a specialist provision we are looking for an excellent KS3/4 Maths specialist who is committed to meeting the complex and holistic needs of young people with C&I needs so that they can reach their full academic and personal potential at Castle EAST School.
The individual
As part of our focus on raising standards and embedding excellence we are excited to be looking to appoint a talented colleague to the role of Lead Teacher of Maths. The role will focus on ensuring our ongoing drive for excellent teaching, learning and attainment in Maths but will also form part of a team of specialist colleagues who work across the school on our approach to truly inspiring and cutting edge teaching.
You will have a keen interest in current pedagogical thinking and be excited at the prospect of working with colleagues across the school to drive the continuous improvement of teaching and learning that impacts on our students' learning and progress to mean they achieve outstanding outcomes - beyond expectation.
The length of your previous experience as an excellent classroom practitioner is less important to us than your clear vision on what can be achieved for our pupils, your understanding of high standards and your ability to motivate and inspire.
