Job description
As a Bluebird Care Field Care Supervisor you will be responsible for supporting a team of Care Assistants and customers within the local Gateshead community.
Key responsibilities of the Field Care Supervisor role include
- Support the Registered Manager and coordinator to provide safe, effective care and support that responds to each customer’s needs and preferences.
- Effective implementation of customer care assessments, care & support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
- Support quality and compliance in carrying out spot checks and supervisions.
- Delivering care and support in the community to ensure all customer visits are covered.
- To undertake daily and weekly audits of the digital management systems and escalate any issues found.
- Be flexible to meet the business needs including take part in the out of hours emergency on-call rota (working on a rota basis).

The nature of the Field Care Supervisor role requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekends. The successful applicant will have extensive care experience and hold a full driving licence.
Essential criteria for the Field Care Supervisor role:
- Previous experience of working in Health Care in a care supervisor or senior role
- Ability to carry our risk assessments and care and support planning centred on the individual needs and wishes of each customer.
- Ability to communicate clearly and build positive working relationships with customers, their families, Bluebird Care staff and other health and social care professionals. Good telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
- Good administrative and IT skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
