Procurement Director- Waste Management Services

Job description

Value Match are working with a public sector organisation based in the North West to source an experienced Procurement Director to lead on the delivery of a new suite of waste management services, the new arrangements to be in place by May 2029.

The role:

1. Develop a detailed Programme Plan
2. Develop options for future waste services and their delivery
3. Ensure day to day Programme activities are within agreed budgets and are compliant with policies.
4. Providing robust and independent assurance of Programme delivery against expected outcomes.
5. Ensuring the Programme is adequately resourced and effective risk management arrangements are in place.
6. Engage and manage of the external advisory team and ensuring Programme objectives are met.
7. Engage with key stakeholders.

Experience required :

1. Must be able to evidence extensive knowledge and experience of successful complex Programme and Project delivery within a local government waste management setting
2. Experienced in the delivery of PFI/PPP type and scale of contracts.
