We are currently looking to add to our Weekend On Call team, in which coordinators will deal with emergency calls from various sources including service users/family members, care staff, local councils, GPs, local health services/professionals, community services and other emergency services. Coordinators are the first point of contact and are required to work quickly and calmly, taking essential details and logging the information onto a computer system and making decisions about how best to handle the situation. This will include taking new referrals, dealing with care emergencies and supporting to cover staff absence. You will often work under pressure and will be required to think fast, multitask and use your own initiative. Excellent customer care skills, communication skills and IT skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise calls and give telephone advice. Experience working in the care sector, ideally with some rostering experience, would be beneficial. The weekend on call team, ensure that all calls answered are within a predetermined timeframe and are dealt with both promptly and professionally to ensure the smooth running of our care contracts.
