2nd line Linux Systems Engineer
£35,000 to £45,000
Are you a skilled problem solver with a knack for time management? Do you thrive working independently or collaboratively in a team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic company as a Linux Systems Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:

Utilise your expertise in Linux operating systems, including RHEL/CentOS 6, 7, and 8.

Implement and manage open-source tools like Puppet, Ansible, and Foreman for efficient automation.

Execute Linux patching systems using tools such as Spacewalk and Satellite.

Oversee application management and distribution across Linux estates.

Essential Skills:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Linux engineering environment.

Proficient in scripting languages like Bash, Python, and Perl.

Experience with version control software, preferably Git.

Familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems (Server 2012, 2016, 2019) and Windows 10.

Knowledge of automation technologies like Terraform or Jenkins.

Desired Skills:

Networking expertise, including LAN, WAN, Cisco switching, Juniper, and Fortinet security products.

Database administration skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or InfluxDB).

Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, and Cloud solutions (Azure, O365, etc.).

Experience in virtualisation management (VMware, XenServer, OpenStack, RHV, or Hyper-V).

Understanding of PKI and certificate services.
