The role:

• Manage nursing resources efficiently, participating in budget planning and control.
• Identify areas for quality improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Provide leadership to the nursing team, ensuring high standards of care are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, ensuring appropriate skill mix and staffing levels. Facilitate ongoing training and development for the nursing team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Monitor and assess the quality of care delivered, conducting regular audits to identify areas for improvement. Implement and oversee measures to maintain compliance with relevant regulatory standards and policies.
• Conduct patient assessments and contribute to the development of individualized care plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and person-centered care for residents.
• Foster effective communication within the nursing team and with other healthcare professionals. Collaborate with the care home management team to ensure seamless coordination of care services.
