Planet Pharma are partnered with one of our longest standing clients, seeking to hire a Principal Scientist to join their ever-growing global team on a permanent basis.

Role Summary

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a small-midsized Global Full service CRO specialising in Oncology, Rare & Orphan disease and they mainly work with Biotech clients and the average tenure at the company is 4 years. They often work on a variety of projects with different clients, offering a diverse work environment and operate on an international scale, providing employees with opportunities to work on global projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust analysis methods for fully validated assays.
• Coordinate analytical studies from client onboarding to final reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance and scientific integrity.
• Supervise chemical preparation, reagents, and solutions, as well as process samples generated in clinical studies.
• Oversee sample processing using Immunoassay techniques and quantification software.
• Ensure compliance with good practice regulations (GCP, EMA, FDA) in the laboratory.
• Accurately document procedures and apply Quality Control (QC) principles.
• Communicate work status with team members and management.
• Provide technical advice during laboratory-related discussions.
• Review and approve documentation, including protocols, validation reports, and SOPs.

Job requirements

• Minimum a BSc Science degree
• Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment (e.g., MHRA GCP for labs, GLP or GMP).
• Able to use and troubleshoot ELISA analytical systems
• Has the knowledge and experience developing and validating analytical methods using ELISA
• Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines
• Experience working to written instructions
• Good Communication skills
