North East Charity Needs Help.
The Road to Recovery Trust is a charity based in Newcastle and is looking for a trustee with special skills. The Trust has been running for over 10 years and supports people recovering from all addictions. From drugs and alcohol to gambling and overeating.
It's based at George Street in the city and is looking for a trustee with a finance background. Although this is a voluntary role, the North East is one of the worst areas in England for addiction. Most families have experienced someone close to them who has suffered with an addiction and we hope to support anyone who is looking to recover. That means this trustee could help many people to find hope and be free from an illness that kills thousands every year.
Matthew Davies, is the Chair of Trustees and says " We're looking for someone who understands balance sheets and is a whiz on excel. We have an accountant so you'll be needed for about 2 hours a week, to review spreadsheets and make recommendations."
