Account Manager - Hertfordshire

Our client is highly reputable and they work with some prestigious blue chip clients and have a brand new technology hub located in Hertfordshire which you would be working from as well as being out on the road visiting clients.
We have an exciting new position for one of the most successful security integrators within the industry, to support and grow your career with training and some incredible manufacturing partners such as Lenel, C-Cure and Genetec. You would be getting exposure to some fantastic high end accounts and be part of a training and personal development plan to get you to where you want to be. Our client requires you to have a Driving License and at least 1-2 year’s experience in the Security Industry.
As part of the Commercial Team, your role is to generate sales of electronic security systems to new & existing Customers as well as developing new contacts and business across all market sectors. You will need to have a flexible approach and able to multi-task.
Role overview
- Your role will also involve reviewing specific Client Tender Requests and successfully completing returns to meet the Clients’ specified dates.
- You will report directly to the Commercial Team Manager.
- This role requires knowledge and familiarity of the commonly installed, IP CCTV, Intercom, Access Control and Intruder Alarm Systems. You will be expected to keep such knowledge current and also make recommendations on new products or applications that could be profitably incorporated into the companies portfolio. (Where required, you will be expected to attend relevant training courses. This will be at the Company’s expense.)
- This role also requires a high-level of pro-activity which may involve working out-of-hours in line with business needs.
- You will be expected to create your own Prospect base via a combination of cold-calling prospective customers, obtaining referrals and introductions from your existing contacts and networking.
- Where required, you will also attend Client Project Meetings as well as be present at Project/Installation Handover. This will help ensure that the Client is satisfied that the newly installed System meets the stated requirements and that any queries can be promptly dealt with.
- You will also actively promote CUSTOM’s Support & Maintenance Services including Enterprise level Software Support Agreements.
- Where integration of Security Systems with IT Networks is required, you will work closely with the Technical Support Team to ensure that all necessary software and hardware has been taken into account.
- You will also be responsible for recommending to Clients appropriate improvements that they may wish to consider, liaising with colleagues as appropriate, and following these up.
Remuneration
- £30k (depending on experience) + Commission £40k OTE (UNCAPPED)
- 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
- As part of our onboarding process, we shall enrol the new employee onto TAVCOM Training for Foundation Access Control, Foundations of CCTV & Intruder Alarm Foundation.
Location
- You must be able to commute into London City easily and within 1 hour driving distance to the Hertfordshire Office .
