Job Title: Company Accountant - Nonprofit Sector

Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented Company Accountant to manage financial activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to the overall financial health of our nonprofit organisation. Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with nonprofit accounting standards.
- Grant Compliance:
- Manage and monitor grants, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and reporting deadlines.
- Collaborate with program managers to track and report on grant-funded initiatives.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Prepare for and support annual financial audits, liaising with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
- Budgeting and Planning:
- Work closely with department heads to develop and manage annual budgets.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Financial Systems:
- Utilise and maintain financial systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Provide training and support to staff on financial systems usage.
Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable.
- Experience in nonprofit accounting and a strong understanding of fund accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
