Requirements

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Science discipline
• Expertise in designing 3 phase electrical control systems
• Experience with automation
• Travel from time to time will be required

Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge in design of 3 phase electrical systems.
• Experience working in heavy equipment industry.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine malfunction.
• Experience working with Variable Frequency Drives and Soft Starters.
• Experience in electrical control panel design.
• Experience in design of 24Vdc control systems including EtherNet IP, CANbus, Modbus etc. networks.
• Development of PLC Software advantageous.
• Knowledge & understanding of Hydraulic systems desirable.

What you’ll do
Engineering Design

• Create accurate electrical schematics, BOM’s and technical documentation.
• Create and test PLC & HMI software.
• Write Functional Specifications for software.
• Ensure all project documentation & technical files are compiled and stored correctly.
• Support Operations teams on improvement projects & focused improvements on Terex products.
• Assist product cost reduction and product reliability improvement efforts.
• Directly contribute to and assist continuous improvement in line with the business demand.
• Occasionally perform equipment commissioning, installation, and testing.

Program Management

• Support NPD projects - ensuring projects needs are interpreted accurately.
• Provide appropriate technical assistance on both existing products and NPD.

Standards, Health & Safety
• Design products that comply with company & industry standards & legislation with regards to machine safety.
• Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed in accordance with company policies and in the creation of project risk analysis.
