DeepOcean has an exciting opportunity for a Group Cyber Security Specialist to join our team on a permanent staff basis, located in our Aberdeen office.
As a part of our Global IT team, you will play a critical role in protecting our business against cyber threats.
Our operations are vital to our clients' success, and cyber security is a top priority. We are looking for a cyber security enthusiast who will contribute to designing and improving the existing, comprehensive cyber security strategy across all our business units.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Group Cyber Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cyber security strategy across all our business units. You will work with a talented team of IT professionals to secure our systems, networks, and applications, and ensure that our employees are trained in best cyber security practices.
Your relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or other, will be favourable to this effort as we rely on Microsoft technology in our operations.
You should also have experience with cyber security tools such as Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection and Sentinel.
Cyber security is an ever-evolving field, and new threats and vulnerabilities are constantly emerging. You should be curious and willing to learn new things, staying up-to-date with the latest threats, tools, and techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security related role
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Network Administrator or a related field. Equivalent of extensive relevant experience may suffice.
Strong knowledge of cyber security framework, technologies, network and best practices such as NIST, ISO 27001/27003 and CIS
Experience in designing and implementing cyber security strategies and plans
Relevant Microsoft certification

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address cyber security risks and issues
You take pride in operating with the highest level of integrity and trustworthiness as you will often have access to sensitive information
