Nursery Area Manager

Walton-on-Thames (KT12) and Cheam (SM3)

£47,500-£52,500 salary (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are delighted to be working with a family-owned Nursery franchise to find a highly-experienced and successful Area Manager to support the teams and provisions at their two Nursery venues in Walton-on-Thames and Cheam.

The owner and director of the group has had her own highly successful career in Early Years and Childcare and is excited to have motivated and dedicated individuals join her journey of creating an 'Outstanding' place to both work and learn.

This new Area Manager role will be a vital part of this journey! You will split your time between the two nursery venues (3 days in Cheam and 2 days in Walton-on-Thames), supporting the Nursery Managers and their teams. The main focus of this support will be quality-driven with ambitious plans to become Ofsted Outstanding through improving daily provision, increasing occupancy levels, and ensuring all staff are creating a safe and thriving environment for children and their families.

You will need:  

• A full and relevant level 3, or above, childcare qualification (level 6 qualification is highly desirable)
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience working in Ofsted Outstanding Early Years settings and an ability to evidence how to improve and raise standards
• A desire and motivation to remain close to the teams in provision. Although there will be no expectations to be in ratio, the Area Manager will be required to spend time in rooms regularly
• The ability to operate autonomously, be comfortable with responsibility, and take ownership 
• A passion for childcare and child development and making a difference to the community
