FTE Salary: Up to £21,768.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Hourly Rate: £11.28
Contract Type: Zero Hours, Fixed Term starting May 1st 2024 until July 6th 2024
Working Hours: Minimum of 5 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

SGS College have an exciting opportunity for Examination Invigilators at our Bristol campuses!
Ideal candidates will be able to invigilate exams that take place between the hours of 8.45 to 20.00 Monday to Friday with up to 30 hours available per week. Enthusiasm for working with young people is essential and all other training is provided. Invigilators must be comfortable using IT and computers and have a strong attention to detail.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensuring that the exam room are set up, and are maintained, to awarding body requirements. Rooms can contain 1 student, or 500, so must be comfortable in either setting.
- Ensuring candidates are aware they are under exam conditions by observing and maintaining awarding body set rules and procedures as per the type of exam being sat.
- For written exams: opening and distributing exam papers and any other authorised materials to candidates whilst adhering to secure practices to maintain the validity of the test. For online exams: preparing IT logins and software for students to begin their examinations.
- Ensuring that candidates have correct exam papers or access to the correct onscreen exams and contacting the examinations team quickly to resolve any discrepancies.
- You may be asked to undertake tasks to support the exams team during busy periods, such as packing papers for dispatch, preparing exam materials etc.

- Ability to manage large and small groups of students in an exam setting
- Confidence when speaking aloud
- Ability to deal with difficult situations
- Flexibility in working hours
- Experience of exam invigilation preferred, but full training will be given
