Job Description
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functionality and prevent unexpected downtime. This includes inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems.
- Diagnose issues with mechanical equipment, identify faults, and implement corrective actions to resolve problems efficiently. This involves using tools, instruments, and diagnostic devices to troubleshoot mechanical systems.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure regular servicing of equipment. Conduct inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and part replacement to prevent breakdowns and prolong machinery lifespan.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards while performing maintenance tasks. Ensure that equipment meets safety and environmental regulations, and follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
The Successful Applicant
- Ideally apprentice trained
- Time served engineer
- Multi skilled with a mechanical bias
- 2 years + experience in a manufacturing environment
What's on Offer
- Hourly Paid: £21.02
- Working hours: Rota basis - 36.5 hours per week on average
- Holidays: 28 days per year including bank holidays
- Sick pay
- Pension: 3% from Employer and 5% from Employee
