Vehicle Network Architect

Job description
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Network Architect to design, release and maintain the whole vehicle Network Architecture, including the signals database. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Lead, you will be instrumental in delivering functionality across systems ranging from comfort, safety, entertainment, powertrain, chassis to offboard communications. The location of this role can either be in our UK or Croatian office.

Who and what will you be working with?
You will be working in the EE team, reporting to the Systems Engineering Lead, interfacing to all engineering areas.
What will you be responsible for?
- Network design, simulation and analysis
- Creation and maintenance of the signals database to deliver key vehicle functionality
- Select, procure, & configure network design tools
- Support system design meetings and reviews as a networks subject matter expert
- General project management, including budget and timing and status reporting
- Lead and coordinate vehicle network design, validation, and verification
- Creation and maintenance of the signals database to deliver key vehicle functionality
- Writing and distributing requirements relating to networks
- Working with systems engineers to align signal requirements with suppliers
- Distribution of DBC files for all ECUs
- Responsible for Autosar and other software licenses relating to networks.
Who are we looking for?
To help achieve our goals, we need someone with
- Education: Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering/Science
- Excellent knowledge of English language, MS Office
- Expert in Automotive Networks including Ethernet, CAN, LIN
- Demonstrable practical experience in using Networks authoring tools
- Experience in other protocols desirable, e.g. A2B, GMSL, MQTT
- Able to work in start-up environment
- An entrepreneurial mindset and an ability to apply their significant experience to new challenges
- A proven track record of delivering quality products on time and to budget
- Awareness of functional safety (ISO26262) and automotive network cyber security in relation to signal and network specification
- Able to communicate efficiently and effectively through all forms of communication, as well as present technical reports confidently.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Jama or other requirements management system is desirable
This person needs to:
- Be flexible, enthusiastic, and methodical individual, demonstrating a hands-on approach and able to work well under own initiative
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have experience of working in a startup is preferable
- Be eligible to work in the UK if UK is your preferred location of work(sponsorship not available)
- Be able to travel domestically and internationally as defined by the project need
