Job description
Pulse is currently seeking a determined band 8a Clinical/counselling Psychologist to be welcomed into our client’s Adult inpatient services within a fantastic private trust based in Cheadle, Cheshire. The trust is looking for someone to work 4 days per week across a new adult acute service, which is opening (1 day), adult PICU service (1.5 days) and adult rehab service (1.5 days). The role will involve attending MDT meetings/ward rounds as required, supervising assistant psychologists, consultation with the team, directing patient assessment and some 1:1 therapy with patients. This position will be available to start as soon as possible, working part-time hours for a 3–6-month period.
The Clinical Psychologist will undertake assessments, formulate care plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions for adults with complex mental health needs. As a Clinical Psychologist working across the adult inpatient services, the post holder will play a pivotal role in assessing and treating various psychological concerns in adults. The postholder will be crucial in providing assessment, therapy, and consultation services within a supportive and collaborative environment.
