We are looking for a Data Office Digital Lead to join us in our Data Office team, to be based in either of our Brussels, Belgium or Slough, UK offices

About the role

As the Data Office Digital Lead, you are responsible for the digital solutions in support of UCB’s data strategy, in particularly, focused on governance, cataloging, and search. By responsible, the person will define, implement and support the strategy for those digital solutions that enable needed functionality to see UCBs data strategy across the global organization. Technical delivery with be achieved by partnership with IT, but you will be part of the ownership of the solutions. You will not only be responsible for those digital solutions in place but also for identifying and shaping those for the future.

What you’ll do

• Tactical, operational program-wide responsibilities for Data Office digital solution delivery as a member of an agile team. Ensures and is responsible for excellence in delivering technical solutions for the Data Office Strategy.
• Is seen as a delivery-oriented operational Business partner able to support and develop products for data capability which deliver on pressing needs across data analytic science, program/business needs, technology, and process enablement.
• Intentionally collaborative by mediating across interest groups to deliver transversal solutions.
• Significantly contributes to Data Office team preparation: action planning, execution, delivery, and communication at leadership forums/decision boards through to broader community wide communications
• Be an effective member of the Data Office and the broader Digital Cultural initiative
• Responsible for Development and Platform Lifecycle
• Has a complete technical ownership of the delivery

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills :

• Master’s degree
• Demonstrated delivery of cross functional initiatives – preference to systems/ data-enabled / advanced analytics / process improvement.
• Hands-on experience, development, and expert knowledge of Collibra or similar catalogue/data governance platforms in support of multiple domains.
• Understanding and development of workflow tools and engines.
• Understanding of the role and application of knowledge graphs, ontologies, and LLMs is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of data/computing environments and user experience considerations, especially in data governance and data science.
• Track record in implementing innovative next generation systems and leading high priority change initiatives
• You are interested in the potential of new technology and capable of translating technical potential into concrete projects bringing patient value.
