Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Birkenhead
This role is Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm. Full-time, on a on-going basis.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teaching assistant with a strong background in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to work in a primary school in Birkenhead. If you are passionate about supporting students with diverse needs and contributing to an inclusive learning community, we invite you to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in mainstream classrooms.
• Collaborate with class teachers to implement and adapt learning strategies for students with diverse needs.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, promoting the social and academic inclusion of all students.
• Work closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to assess and address individual student needs.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant with a focus on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
• Understanding of various SEND conditions and the ability to implement tailored support strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and teaching staff.
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to the individual needs of students.
