About the Role:
The purpose of this role is to assist the legal team in providing legal advice and support to the business in addition to providing general administrative support.
The successful candidate will support and work primarily with the legal team but will be expected to develop relationships with key contacts throughout the business including in sales, marketing and procurement.
This role sits within the Britvic Plc legal team which is part of the wider Governance, Legal & Estates team who report to the General Counsel. This role will focus primarily on work within the GB business unit but may, from time to time, involve support for other business units, including International work streams.
Key Responsibilities:
Contracts and Contract Management
• Provide support to Britvic’s legal team in drafting, preparing and negotiating customer, supplier and other contracts.
• Prepare and negotiate non-disclosure agreements.
• Maintain and manage the contract databases.
Marketing Advice and Approvals
• Advise on and approve terms and conditions for promotions and competitions.
• Review, advise on and sign-off promotional campaigns and packaging artwork.
• Keep abreast on relevant case law (including decisions of the Advertising Standards Agency) and update the legal team on developments and guidance published by regulators.
Training
• Assist the legal team in providing training to the business.
• Plan and administer legal training given to the business.
Legal Research and Updates
• Keep the legal team and the wider business abreast of developments and decisions in relevant areas of law
• Carry out legal research as required.
Team Administration
• Manage the legal team’s intranet sites.
• Assist in the administration of the legal team budget, raise purchase orders, arrange for payment of invoices and manage record keeping of external legal spend.
• Process regulatory registrations and renewals.
• Provide general administrative support as required including preparing monthly update reports for the Britvic board.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
• If a non-law graduate, completion of the Graduate Diploma in Law is essential.
Qualifications:
• Law degree or equivalent qualification.
• Completion of the Legal Practice Course is preferred.
• If a non-law graduate, completion of the Graduate Diploma in Law is essential.
