Hours: Full time (37 hours) Monday – Friday; 8.45am – 5pm, Term-time Only
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Transition Coordinator to Support the College’s consultation and review process for young people with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP). You will develop close communications with external stakeholders such as feeder schools, local authority representatives and parent/carers. Have the specialist expertise to evaluate (in consultation with Student Support) whether the college is able to meet the needs outlined within the EHCP
In this exciting role you will coordinate the EHCP consultation process by reviewing the documentation received, including the feedback from meetings with the young person, parents, school and other relevant stakeholders. Meet with key ALS staff to discuss and agree responses. You will also have an comprehensive understanding of SEND legislation and the associated risk assessment that need to be undertaken in relation to further education settings.
