Future ISR Technical Lead

Our Opportunity
ISR UK currently have an exciting opportunity for a Future ISR Lead to join the team, based in Crawley.
This is a really exciting time to join ISR, following focussed transformation projects to improve the ways of working and delivery performance, ISR are currently mobilising new, high profile contracts to continue to deliver critical capability to the UK and export customers.
As Future ISR Lead, you will position ISR as a thought leader within industry, providing Design Authority oversight, coaching, mentoring and for leading innovation around next-generation and generation-after-next technologies and solutions through the winning and execution of R&D/S&T projects
Lead on innovation activities relevant to the ISR product and portfolios strategies
Participate on relevant internal and external forums to project F-ISR and Thales UK as thought-leaders and collaborators in relevant MOD activities.
Provide overall Future ISR Design Authority guidance and reviews to maintain quality, on-time deliveries, customer satisfaction and advantageous teaming
Maintain and develop an ISR R&D/S&T strategy aligned to ISR Product and Portfolio roadmaps and MOD Next-Generation and Generation-After-Next programmes.
Propose Prototype Demonstration activities to bring future concepts to life, presenting to all stakeholders to influence future ISR development activities.
Identify CFRD opportunities matching ISR’s need for aligned, funded R&D, S&T to meet F-ISR targets.
Write winning bid proposals in collaboration (where sensible and possible) with RTI, other TUK BUs, SMEs and Academia.
Develop team member skills and experience to improve CFRD win rate and execution quality.
About you
You will have demonstrable knowledge of the ISTAR domain covering both customer and stakeholder communities as well as competitors. You will have experience of leading Innovation and problem-solving with novel methods, methodologies, technologies and approaches. You will have conducted Research & Development and Science and Technology activities from Concept ideation, through bid stage, execution and delivery. You will have experience of relating product and portfolio roadmaps to customer and stakeholder requirements and opportunities. You should be able to critique architectures, technical designs, estimates and project scoping of work packages.
