As Caretaker for the Extra Care service, you will work between our two purpose-built extra care sites in Preston which will include working in the communal areas and customers’ homes.
What will you be doing in this role?
You will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation and upkeep of both sites and the provision of a handyperson service for customers within their homes.
You will work closely with CGA colleagues and customers to ensure the service you provide promotes independence, choice and personal wellbeing and enables people to live well in their homes for as long as they can.
What we are looking for in you
We are looking for someone who shares our values and puts customers at the heart of everything they do. That is why it is important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience of in a customer facing role.
The role requires someone who has excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan a programme of work which meet the needs of customers and ensures the extra care sites are a safe environment to live.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to respond to emergencies. You will need to have a full driving licence and a vehicle insured for business use to be able to travel between sites. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.

Working arrangements:
This role is community-based working at our extra care sites in Preston but also covering other Independent Living community sites in the area. We offer flexibility wherever possible to accommodate our business and your personal needs.
