Job description


An exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team of administrators at Sexual Health Dorset.

The admin team is a happy, flexible team who work closely together to maintain an excellent first point of contact for patients and supporting clinical staff within the service.

To provide comprehensive administrative support to the sexual health service.

To support the Team Lead and Clinical Lead Nurse to ensure effective delivery of the sexual health service.

To be a point of contact for the sexual health team and external agencies.

As an administrator / receptionist at Sexual Health Dorset you will act as the initial point of contact by phone, email and face to face for patients accessing the service. You will need to be friendly and approachable and be able to understand and adjust to speaking to people who are often very anxious about their sexual health.

Taking calls on the single point of access phone line for sexual health

Booking in patients attending clinic

Assisting clinical staff with admin tasks, such as scanning, copying and letters

Working closely with team members to cross cover during periods of sickness and annual leave
