One of the nation’s largest retailers is branching out into the world of optics and is looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join an experienced Optical Manager within Harrogate, and a small team to grow and develop this exciting new business.
Optical Assistant Position
A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused Optical Assistant to join a practice in Harrogate. They have an experienced Optical Manager and an Optometrist in place and they are looking to add a personable and enthusiastic optical assistant to their team.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on their options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice. Their aim is to continually improve the quality of services offered to their customers through staff training.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
My client is looking for applicants with previous optical experience and the ability to dispense glasses to all levels. You will have friendly and personable demeanour with a strong personal work ethic. It’s essential you have customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
