Job Overview:
ROXY AVENUE is, a CQC approved residential care home caring for adults who have, or recovering from , an enduring mental illness. We offer a community based residential home to clients, providing them with the ability to transition from hospital or rehabilitation services back to independent living and our service provision accommodates 8 service users.

We are seeking a Depty Care Home Manager to work alongside the current registered manager. Experienced Senior Care Worker with relevant qualifications and experience, aspiring to be a future registered manager is welcome to apply for the position and play a vital role in providing compassionate and person-centred care to individuals with mental health challenges and support care workers and support workers.If you have a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others and are committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of residents, we encourage you to apply.

Our primary aim is to deliver a recovery focused support service that enables our service users to integrate further into the local community, support individuals on their recovery journeys so that the lead better and more fulfilled lives while living within our services.

We provide the highest quality care and support possible in the community for people with mild/moderate learning disabilities and complex mental health problems. Our success is based on the ability to work creatively to find solutions to any challenges that arise.

The successful Candidate will have previous experience in mental health and learning disabilities, has a proven track record of effective leadership skills, clinical expertise and knowledge of person centred care with a passion for working with clients’, creatively finding solutions to challenges that arise.

Responsibilities :
• Ensure consistent communication for "ROXY AVENUE," meeting company standards in marketing and communications.
• Efficiently manage company finances, assets, and stocks while ensuring security and control.
• Professionally communicate accurate information and statistics to meet targets.
• Stay updated on best practices and company policy changes, applying knowledge to daily operations.
• Represent the service positively in external meetings and protect intellectual property.
• Foster a friendly, homely atmosphere for residents, contributing to care plans and ensuring equal opportunities.
• Act as key worker for service users, maintaining records and building effective relationships.
• Develop personal skills relevant to service user needs and handle administrative tasks for smooth service operation.
• Uphold security measures, including building security and compliance with legislation.
• Provide support and supervision to junior staff, offering training and organising meetings.
• Manage home finances and budgets, assess service user stability, and work within a multicultural team.
• Attend meetings, undergo necessary training, and comply with regulations.
• Demonstrate care, compassion, and respect for service users' rights, privacy, dignity, and independence.
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, and a smart appearance.

Personal Specification
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite
• Understanding and implementation of confidentiality systems for customers, staff, and business
• Familiarity with QAF and CQC Regulations, abuse recognition, and safeguarding procedures
• Strong communication skills for building positive relationships with service users, families, staff, and other professionals
• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety and employment laws
• NVQ Level 3 or higher required
• Proficient in English reading, writing, and communication
• Ability to maintain clear electronic records and follow statutory reporting procedures
• Essential experience in financial management

DBS
Enhanced DBS check is required .Candidates not on the DBS Update Service will have to meet the cost for an Enhanced DBS Check.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £28,000.00 per year
