The Governors of this highly successful and over-subscribed mixed 11-18 Specialist Science College are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, exceptional teacher to the above role.
St Gregory’s has been identified by OFSTED in March 2019 as an outstanding school in all areas of its practice; by the DfE as a National Lead Behaviour School and by the SSAT as a High Attaining School. In 2023, 33% of all A level grades were A*-A, 72% were A*-B and 95% were A*-C. At GCSE, pupils attained 33% Grade 7+, 67% Grade 5+ and 82% Grade 4+.
The Religious Education department is outstanding, and we are seeking to appoint an inspiring, inventive and enthusiastic individual to support the running of the department. The successful candidate will be a person who is excited about the opportunity to share their passion for Religious Education in a Catholic setting, have vision and innovative ideas, high expectations of self, staff and students, ambition and the potential for further career development. They will be given lots of support whilst working in a well-resourced department.
Religious Education is one of the most successful subjects at St Gregory’s with a GCSE average point score of 6.38 in Summer 2023. The school is firmly committed to CPD and promotes opportunities for improving subject knowledge and pedagogy as well as career development within the school.
Effective safeguarding, data protection and promoting the welfare of pupils is our utmost priority.
