Job description
Cheshire Scout’s Trustee Board is a team of volunteers who work together, as charity Trustees, to make sure Cheshire Scouts is run safely and legally. At the heart of their role is a focus on strategy, performance, and assurance.
What will you be doing?Together, Trustees make sure the charity is well managed, risks are assessed and mitigated, buildings and equipment are in good working order, and everyone follows legal requirements and The Scout Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR). Their support helps other volunteers run a fantastic programme that gives young people skills for life (and experiences they’ll remember forever).
Main Tasks:
We are looking for people to support our lead volunteer and chair with their professional experience and skills. We are looking for individuals who can support the organisation for a minimum of 3 years. We would especially welcome applications from people from BAME backgrounds and women.
What difference will you make?Trustees support leaders to deliver a fantastic programme, while having a laugh, making new friends, and learning new skills themselves.
Trustees play a key part in Scouts, and keep an eye on our vision. They make sure young people have the best experience at Scouts, and check things are being done safely and legally.
