Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their business based inCanterbury, Kent
Shift pattern
- Alternate weeks of days and lates, 07:00am to 15:30pm and 22:30pm to 07:00am
- Occasional over time on Saturday mornings (not every Saturday) which will be paid at time and a half
The role entails (but is not limited to):
- Testing vehicles and diagnosing any faults or issues
- Carrying out services and repairs to vehicles and components, using recognised tools and equipment
- Ensuring that reports are provided either orally and/or in writing which explain the condition, safety, reliability and performance of vehicles
- Carrying out vehicle safety checks
- Ensuring compliance with ISO and Quality Standards
- Undertaking any necessary training in order to ensure that all knowledge is up to date and meets DAF standards
- Ordering parts from the parts department
- Tag vehicles during cannibalisation and after completion, ensure tag is given to the sales department.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Must hold a HGV Cat C+E licence
- Preferably 3+ years experience working in a similar position but our client will consider candidates who have worked in the car industry
- Preferably Commercial Vehicle qualifications (NVQ Level 3)
Other details:
- The salary for this position is between £47,000 and £50,000 depending on experience (£15.50 - £20.00 per hour for days/lates)
- 40 hours per week + overtime
