About the role

As a Senior Associate working as part of the national tax team, you will be involved in, and leading on a broad range of tax advisory work and transactional support for UK and international clients.

This is an unusualvaried Corporate Tax role, where you will be working with clients to advise and assist with Islamic compliant finance structures, corporate share sales and property investment & development structures. You are likely to be working on Real Estate transactions relating to asset sales, commercial property sales, landlord and tenant transactions, housing projects and urban & land regeneration projects. In addition, you will be working closely with the Corporate team who advise clients on joint ventures, group reorganisations, acquisitions and disposals. .

You will act for a wide range of clients, including corporations, entrepreneurs, management teams and pension funds, and appreciate the different styles and approaches these each may require.

About You

Being an experienced Corporate Tax Lawyer, you will have gained experience across a range of corporate tax matters, and be comfortable working across sectors with a variety of client types and profiles. You are confident in the technical advice you provide to colleagues and directly to clients, with experience of transactional drafting, report writing and drafting tax advice. Able to consider and provide commercially insightful and appropriate advice to clients across a range of sectors, you work collaboratively with colleagues in order to provide support when they need it. Comfortable leading discussions directly with clients and communicating effectively across various media, you are able to engage and inspire confidence in the advice you are providing.

Personally, you are highly motivated and keen to progress your career further over time, and will benefit from supportive partners and colleagues to help you towards achieving your career goals. You are positive and encouraging with less experienced members of the team and fully appreciate the importance of developing colleagues’ skills and confidence over time. Flexible in your approach, you appreciate how best to work with clients who are UK and internationally based, and are committed to providing each one with an exceptional service.
