We are currently seeking an experienced Service Manager for our Low-Level Support Service. The role is to provide leadership and direction to the support team including partners and commissioners to ensure the efficient delivery of services in line with contractual requirements.

The Low Level Support Service, working in partnership with South Derbyshire CVS and Revival, equitably across Derbyshire will deliver targeted, time limited, low level housing related support service across all tenure, to enable people to live safely and independently in their own home and preferred community for as long as practicable. The geographical areas for day to day delivery will be North East Derbyshire, Chesterfield and Bolsover.

We are looking for someone who has:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and contribute to a team, including the ability to prioritise own work and the work of others
• Proven ability to manage people including recruitment, development and motivation
• Experience in project management and implementation
• Effective planning, task and time management skills, the ability to meet deadlines

Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate to enable them to carry out their role

Responsibilities / Key Tasks:
• Day to Day oversight of the contract for the Low-Level Support Service
• Responsible for service performance, including partner delivery, identifying and mitigating risks
• Report performance against targets/KPIs to the Health Services Manager, Chief Operating Officer and commissioners
• Formally line manage 6 support workers (2 North East Derbyshire / 2 Chesterfield / 2 Bolsover) and the Service information and promotion co-ordinator
• Create a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are well-managed, dignity at work is upheld and staff can do their best
• Ensure the effective performance management and development of staff through regular supervision sessions, the appraisal process and learning and development

The essentials:
• Salary – £32,550
• Hours – full-time (37.5 hrs per week)
• Contract – fixed-term for 3 years (till 31 March 2027) with possible extension
• Start date – 1st April 2024
• Hybrid Working –a few days per week from one of our offices (Derby & Swadlincote), a few days from home depending on service needs
