Our client requires a Temporary Live-in Housekeeper/Cook to work as part of a team to support an UHNW family at their country estate in Wiltshire. This placement will be for approximately 4 to 5 weeks.
The estate is occupied by a young family, with 2 school-aged children, who live between the estate and their London residence.
This role will be live-in with bills included. Working 5 days per week. Occasional travel may be required to the London residence. The candidate will be required to undergo a week’s trial period prior to engagement.
Duties to include:
- Assisting the team with all functions of housekeeping, laundry, and ironing
- Assist with management of all household laundry including clothing, fine fabrics, linens etc
- Ironing, pressing, folding, and appropriately hanging/storing all items
- Daily cleaning of the private apartments in the property
- Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the household
- Cooking simple but nutritious meals for the family daily (when entertaining outside caterers are on site)
- Provisioning and taking stock of all household items
- Flower arranging
- Polishing antiques, marble, and silverware
- Ensuring all bedrooms are always clean and in a state of readiness if family are away
- Report to the Head Housekeeper and Family EA
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience in a Housekeeper role supporting an UHNWI within a private estate
- Very high attention to detail
- A team player
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Good standard of written and spoken English preferred
- Trustworthy, and handles confidential information appropriately and discreetly
- Longevity as demonstrated by previous employment
- Able to prioritise and multitask effectively
- Right to work within the UK
- Excellent checkable references
- Driver with a clean licence

Working days: 5 days a week, shifts varying
Salary: £38,000-£40,000 pro rata DOE, to be employed on a short-term contract
