As the Merchandiser your day to day duties include:
Stock Forecasting
Understanding seasonal trends.
Dealing with limiting stock issues.
Be agile to deal with changes in the business.
Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments
Handling ad hoc requests from management team.
