Director of Digital Transformation

Location: Buckingham

Salary: £100,000 + benefits

The University of Buckingham is a private University in possession of a Royal Charter. It is known for its pioneering the first accelerated (two-year) degree. The University provides students with a personalised learning experience through its ‘small-group academic tutorial system’ and exceptional pastoral care provision.

The University has committed to a digital transformation programme to support the launch of their new high-level business-wide growth strategy. A key element of their digital transformation programme is to replace a range of disconnected legacy IT systems with fit for purpose connected enterprise-wide solution. To ensure this happens in an efficient and effective manner we need to recruit a Director of Digital Transformation to deliver exceptional value, solutions, governance, and technology services across all of its staff and student populations.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead a business-wide digital transformation programme, incorporating people, processes, systems etc.
• Implement a cutting-edge enterprise-wide solution ensuring maximum usability, simplicity and efficiency of fit for purpose for the business as it moves forward.
• Thought leadership and implementation of exceptional data architecture and governance to help drive the transition to enhanced data lead decision making.
• Engage users across all functions and departments, to successfully adopt this new technology and its connected tools through effective change management, training, and support.
• Decommissioning of redundant legacy systems and removal the associated cost.

Experience:

• Previously held a similar role i.e., Head of Information Technology (IT), CIO or similar.
• Demonstrable experience of an exceptional knowledge of IT solutions, infrastructure and service
• Leading a complex value added systems implementation / digital transformation project
• A strong leadership profile, possessing the ability to collaborate with and inspire all stakeholders
